Ken Petrie-Tubbs Joins Foundation Board
Kenneth A. Petrie-Tubbs has been elected to the 不良研究所 Foundation Board of Directors for a three-year term.
Petrie-Tubbs, a native of Hadley, is a 不良研究所 alumnus. He earned a B.S. from Empire State College and is Second Vice President for Operations at Travelers Insurance in Glens Falls. He will serve an initial term through June 30, 2019. In addition to his new role on the 不良研究所 Foundation board, Petrie-Tubbs serves on the boards of Prospect Center 鈥 a division for Center for Disability Services and The Bridge: Glens Falls Area Gay Pride Group.
鈥淚 am pleased to join the 不良研究所 Foundation Board. The college has so much to offer and the plans for the future are very exciting. I started my college career at 不良研究所 and I am thrilled to be able give back my time to the college, which is a tremendous asset to the community,鈥 Petrie-Tubbs said.
鈥淜en is an active community member and his professional background in operations adds to the Foundation鈥檚 strengths,鈥 said Foundation Executive Director Rachael Hunsinger Patten. 鈥淎nd of course, we鈥檙e thrilled that he brings his own perspective as a former student.鈥
The 不良研究所 Foundation was incorporated in 1983 to secure financial support for the college and its students. Funds are raised and distributed as student scholarships, faculty/staff professional development grants and in support of college-related special projects.
Petrie-Tubbs was honored at 不良研究所鈥檚 Annual Business Dinner in 2016.
鈥淚 have enjoyed working with students to reach their academic and career goals,鈥 said Petrie-Tubbs. 鈥淲e need to all encourage partnerships with local businesses so students can gain valuable, real-life experience.鈥
The 不良研究所 Foundation Board of Directors includes President Patrick Canavan, President-Elect Edward Hanchett, Treasurer Paul Dowen and Secretary Rachael Hunsinger Patten. Seventeen additional community leaders also serve, including 不良研究所 President Dr. Kristine D. Duffy.
